For the flowers:
– Add clean water to the floral foam every day, and don’t let it dry out.
– Keep the basket in a cool spot, away from direct sunlight, heaters, fans and air-conditioning vents.
– Keep it away from ripening fruit, which gives off gas that makes matthiola age faster.
– Remove any wilted blooms and re-cut loose stems by about 2 cm at an angle before pushing them back into the foam.
– With good care, the flowers should stay fresh for about 5 to 7 days.
For the sweets and snacks:
– Check the best-before date on each pack or tin.
– Keep the Gulab Jamun tin sealed in a cool place until you’re ready to open it. After opening, refrigerate leftovers in a covered container and eat within the time shown on the tin.
– Store the Murukku, Besan Laddoo and Soan Papdi in airtight containers in a cool, dry place so they stay fresh and crisp.
– Keep the basket away from heat, since warmth can soften or spoil the treats, and don’t let damp foam or water touch the packs.
