The Honorable Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia visits Black Tulip Flowers farms in Kenya!
Weng Hoa, a leading floral company in Malaysia, is proud to announce that on July 6, 2023, we had the distinct honor of hosting the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, at our Black Tulip Flowers regional corporate head office in Utee Farms Kiambu, Kenya.
The honorable Deputy Prime Minister, accompanied by a team of dignitaries, was warmly welcomed at our corporate office by Mr. M Ehiya, Chairman of Black Tulip Flowers, and Mr. Mohan Choudhery, CEO of Black Tulip Group Farms Kenya. We were privileged to showcase our business and flower farming capabilities in Kenya and discuss our vision with the esteemed guests.
Following an introductory session, the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and his delegation were given a tour of our on-site farms and flower sorting bay. They had the experience of viewing our eco-friendly agricultural practices, how flowers are grown in greenhouses, harvested at the right time, and sorted by skilled workers for shipping worldwide.
With 14 farms spanning across 1800 acres in Kenya and Ethiopia, Black Tulip Flowers employs over 8000 people in the region. Our farms specialize in producing high-quality flowers, including premium roses, hydrangea, and chrysanthemums, to name a few. The unique climatic conditions in Kenya’s high-altitude area makes it favorable for the cultivation of these exquisite flowers.
This visit was a moment of great significance for our team, as it facilitated the exchange of ideas, discussions on future opportunities, and the inspiration to drive the horticulture trade between Malaysia and Kenya. We hope that the visit from the honorable Deputy Prime Minister will deepen the ties and open new avenues for businesses in both countries.
The visit of the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia at Black Tulip Flowers farms in Kenya signifies a major milestone in our pursuit of stronger trade and business relations. It served as a testament to the success of our farming operations, emphasizing our unwavering commitment to excellence, sustainability, and community development. The exchange of ideas during this visit has the potential to foster further collaboration and ensure a promising future for the horticulture sector in Malaysia and Kenya alike.
