Under the Personal Security category, Kuala Lumpur is ranked 35th in the EIU Safe Cities Index 2021.

The EIU said that there is a need to reconsideration health system awareness, whether they are already clear, and this must have several elements.
As per EIU, digital security at the city level is frequently inadequate for current needs and insecurity will increase as urban areas multiply follow smart city ambitions.
“Within each of the five broad pillars, the pertinent indicators are gathered into inputs of safety, such as policies or personnel dedicated to some feature of security and outputs, anything from air pollution levels to crime rates.”
“Briefly, outputs measure how safe a city presently is, while the inputs show which cities are doing the right things to improve security. Both are important to understanding the security situation,” it said.
The index information showed that internet connectivity is becoming ubiquitous, even in the lower-middle-income cities, and could be effectively universal within a period.
Meanwhile, 59 out of 60 cities have started the method of becoming a smart city or have expressed ambition of becoming one, the present levels of digital security were worrying.
